The South Holston is fishing good. It's just that simple and i do not know of any other way to put it. Brad Thomason, Jeff Sharpe, and myself spent a couple days fishing the river this past week and we have no complaints. It was a well deserved trip for us all as it seems to get a little harder to find the time to get away each year. The weather was nice for December and the water flows were decent as well. TVA was generating water in the mornings and gave us a low water window in the afternoons from around mid day until dark. It was the best of both worlds as far as i was concerned. We floated in the mornings until the water shut off. Then it back to the ramp, load the boat, and find somewhere to wade in the afternoon. I am not really sure what else i can say except that if you have not fished this river in the winter then you are missing out on a good time.
