It looks like the water flows have stabilized all over the Tennessee Valley. We now have good fishable flows on the majority of our rivers and it is showing. The Hiwassee is fishing better so far this season than I have seen in a long time. Water temperature is currently around 60 degrees and the fish are fat and healthy. Everyday we go out on the water we are catching numerous fat and healthy fish along with some very nice larger fish mixed in as well. Overall the Nymph and dry fly fishing has been the most productive tactics and the dry fly fishing is getting better by the day as we are seeing isonychias in the afternoon.
Hiwassee River Guides provides year round guided fishing trips in East Tennessee, Southern Kentucky, & North Georgia tailwaters and freestone streams.
